Interactive Display & Parallax Article for Audi Q8 Launch
Client: Audi
Magazine: ELLE UK
Deliverables: Interactive Expandable Banner, Interactive Superhero with 360° interior/exterior product exploration, Interactive Parallax Article
I art directed and built a suite of interactive formats for the launch of Audi’s new Q8 and Q6 e-tron, combining cutting-edge display innovation with premium editorial storytelling. I prototyped, pitched, and personally sold the Expandable Banner, a new Hearst product I developed from scratch. This format allowed the creative to expand on user interaction, offering an immersive digital stage that married UX simplicity with high-impact storytelling.

Alongside this, I designed a Superhero banner with embedded 360° product views, enabling users to explore both the exterior and interior of the Q8 in detail. By giving readers control over the perspective, the ad became an intuitive product demo rather than a passive display, driving both engagement and memorability.

The campaign also featured a bespoke Parallax Article on ELLE UK, which explored Audi’s future-facing design and innovation story. This execution tapped into a parallax framework I have spent the past three years streamlining for the UK market. Originally a Hearst US import, I reworked the product into a modular system of templated units (map, timeline, 360° rotation, slideshow, puzzle), making it scalable, efficient, and editorially premium. For Audi, the parallax was heavily customised to integrate their brand narrative and interactive storytelling seamlessly, showing readers how design and technology intersect in the Q8.

My role extended beyond design execution: I also helped redefine the build process itself, aligning clients, editors, writers, art directors, and TAM specialists to cut timelines while maintaining creative integrity.
The result was a multi-format digital campaign that showcased Audi’s innovation through equally innovative ad formats—merging UX-driven interactivity, sleek art direction, and editorial authority into a cohesive experience that elevated the brand across Hearst platforms.
